I am a vigorous young Border Terrier named Reepicheep. I come from a long, proud history of those who go below ground to rid the world of various Chronicles of Reepicheep (and Stella)
vermin. In keeping with my purpose and breeding I am small in stature; but there aren’t many guys my size much bigger. My size is rarely an obstacle other than when jumping into the truck, getting stuck in snowbanks, and picking true loves. Speaking of the true love thing – I love Stella Francis. We play for hours non-stop. I will admit (but don’t tell anyone) this takes a physical toll on me – not because of endurance but sheer pummeling. Stella is about 6 times my size….now. Stella is a Bernese Mountain……Dog. We met when Stella was 8 weeks of age and we have been fast friends ever since. I don’t think humans have to pay as much attention to when they fall in love and the potential end size of their prospective true loves. Initially, I was able to pounce and tackle and there was even some talk around the clinic that I was being too hard on Stella when she was just a baby. Now, upon my arrival she makes a noise like she is greeting a delicious morsel and then our mock battle begins. I get tossed about and chewed on pretty thoroughly. At the end of the day I go home tired, and sometimes a little sore (but that has never stopped a terrier). If I had it to do over again, I would still pick Stella… and I know she would pick me.
